From February 11 to March 1, 2026, the city of Nice, France, will come alive for nearly twenty days to the rhythm of one of the largest carnivals in Europe : an international carnival that attracts visitors from all over the world. Alongside Rio de Janeiro and Venice, it stands as one of the most famous and celebrated carnival festivals in the world, often described as the biggest party in France during the winter season.
This annual festival is a true event of art, culture, and tradition, drawing thousands of spectators to enjoy its grand processions, decorated floats, and flower battles. As one of the most iconic carnival party in France, it perfectly combines heritage, creativity, and Mediterranean charm.
For the 2026 edition, the theme “Long Live the Queen!” will celebrate femininity, creativity, and elegance, replacing the long reign of kings in previous decades.
During these colorful days, the city turns into a real open-air theater: carnival parades, flower battles, light shows, street performances, concerts, and cultural activities fill the calendar of festivities.
The grand parade of floats takes over Place Masséna and the Promenade des Anglais, glowing under the Riviera sky with music, dance, and traditional costumes. Artists, musicians, and dancers from France and abroad join this enchanting event, creating a lively, festive, and international atmosphere that’s truly unforgettable.
